Year 1 Science Week

Year One were lucky enough to start Science Week with an amazing trip to Sacrewell Farm. Whilst there we learnt about new life in Spring and loved meeting the youngest animals on the farm, these were 3 little kids and the baby lambs who were less than a week old.

Back in school this week, has been filled with lots of fun lessons all linked to new life in Spring and how animals grow and develop. On Wednesday we participated in an amazing online lesson run by the NFU which was spent with Farmer Fiona learning how she cares for her animals and even how she grows the food she feeds them.

Throughout the week, we have been thinking about life cycles of different animals and have especially loved watching how our class caterpillars are growing! Hopefully next week they should be fully grown and ready to make their chrysalises!
