Forest School

Our children thoroughly enjoy their sessions in our Forest School.

This term, St. George’s Forest School sessions with Year 2 and Year 4 have been full of imagination, exploration, and hands‑on learning. The children have spent time looking closely at our wonderful world, discovering what they can create using natural objects, and stepping into stories as kings and queens while weaving their own willow crowns. They have searched the woodland for Robin Hood and his Merry Men, using teamwork and curiosity to guide their adventures. Alongside the fun, pupils have taken pride in real maintenance jobs such as cutting back the willow and spreading woodchip to help build and care for our forest paths. Of course, some of the biggest smiles have come from enjoying the mud, swinging through the trees, and cooking up delicious pretend treats in the mud kitchen. These sessions have helped the children connect with nature, build confidence, and experience the joy of outdoor learning.
